Seal Notching Inspection Tool

The Seal Notching Inspection Tool was designed and manufactured to cut 3 protruding elements from a moulding.

The operator loads the component over locations to match the moulding, then sensors would detect if material is present on the component at these areas, if all the green lights are lit up, this shows the operator that the machine is ready. If sensors detect material is missing in any position then the machine locks and needs to be reset. This is to indicate to the operator that the component is faulty.

A light guard prevents operation until the operator is clear, then by pressing the start button the part is clamped and pneumatic cylinders operate the cutting blades.
