Automated Mark and Cut Machine

This is a machine we recently designed and manufactured for inkjet marking and cutting to length plastic tube, although it can easily be adapted to cut other media such cable. The media is pulled from a reel into the machine, through an integrated straightening device via a caterpillar feeder, inkjet marked on 1 or both sides of the tube, cut to length, inspection of the marks and ejected via a 2nd caterpillar feeder.  Various output configurations can be added to suit the application, from a simple catch tray to a divert station for sorting. Changing media diameters is achieved through the recipes on the HMI and replacing a single change-part. A 3rd printer is incorporated to give some redundancy whilst the an inkjet head is being cleaned etc.
