Aerosol Capping Chucks
Aerosol capping chucks are used in the high speed production of an aerosol can, Multiple capping chucks are held in a high speed rotary press and each capping chuck is loaded with one aerosol cap, as the conveyor of aerosol cans passes below the rotary press, each capping chuck alternatively presses on the aerosol cap.
Each individual capping chuck is specifically designed and manufactured to the contour of the aerosol cap, here at STT.

Can Cutting Machine
Here at STT, we produce various different special purpose machines to fit customers needs.
This unit is a can sampling saw. The basic function of the machine is to vertically split a deodorant can in half. This allows the can to be opened up for further inspection of the internal surface and profiles, whilst retaining minimal damage to the deodorant can.
The unit’s operation consists of a series of safety requirements and cycle prerequisites to be met on a generic HMI before proceeding. Following this, an operator must manually select the correct change parts corresponding to the HMI for loading cans into the cutting unit. Multiple change parts and program recipes account for a large variety of cans to cut identically.
Safety features such as door interlocks, emergency stops and power isolation, are all put in place to ensure the safety of using this machine.

Braid Cut Machine
This Auto Skive and Cut machine developed by STT.
- A fully automated machine to produce automotive brake pipes
- The tube has a PTFE liner with a braided steel outer and a TPE rubber covering
- The pipe is fed from a drum via an unwind unit, which automatically regulates the feed speed of the machine
- The machine uses several axis of motion
- The machine strips back the TPE cover and uses welding technology, this is to remove a section of the braiding and anneals the edges to prevent ‘fraying’
- The pipe then gets cut to length and removes a segment of TPE covering from either end, ready for various connectors to be fitted
- The finished pipe is inspected for length and the two stripped back ends are inspected via a Keyence vision system
